In 1875, Switzerland established its first consulate in Canada, right here in Montreal. This milestone marked the beginning of an official relationship with Canada, paving the way for enduring and fruitful exchanges between our two countries.

Since then, the Consulate has supported generations of Swiss citizens and fostered meaningful collaborations in culture, business, and innovation.

In 2025, we proudly celebrate 150 years of this historic presence. This special anniversary will be marked by a year of events designed for audiences of all ages.
