Swiss Weeks 2022 Film Screening: Heidi (2015)

To mark the start of the Swiss Weeks 2022, the Embassy is proud to present the screening of the film Heidi (2015) at the Flower Field Hall at Gardens by the Bay. This family-friendly Swiss film tells the tale of the iconic Swiss children’s book character Heidi, who is well-loved in Switzerland and around the world.

Thank you to those who attended our 1 March sharing session on Aidha, and a special thanks to our speakers: Aidha CEO Jacqueline Loh, Aidha alumnus Emma Coquilla, and Deputy Head of Mission Nikolas Stürchler. Partnership with Aidha on short courses

The embassy is pleased to announce our new partnership with Aidha (https://www.aidha.org/), an award-winning local charity that helps empower migrant domestic workers (MDWs) and other low income women in Singapore to achieve economic independence. Through its courses on money management, communication, computer skills and entrepreneurship, Aidha equips women with the skills for saving, investing in productive assets and starting a small business. The embassy is delighted to cover the costs of two single session short courses this year. The short courses, offered for free, will provide a basic introduction for anyone considering committing to a longer-term course.

The Embassy is delighted to support two screenings of the film “La Mif” (“The Fam”) at the 25th German Film Festival (GFF), organised by the Goethe-Institut Singapore with The Projector. The film won Best Feature Film (Grand Prix of the Generation 14plus International Jury) at the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival, as well as the Golden Eye Award (in the Focus Competition) at the 17th Zurich Film Festival.
