The Bauhaus was a school in Germany that had a stunning impact on the 20th century art and design history. Outstanding figures of the time – including Swiss artists Johannes Itten and Paul Klee – were active at the Bauhaus as teachers. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the school’s founding, this exhibition introduces some actual class programs, especially the basic education material that gave ground to the creation of numerous Bauhaus designs. The exhibition is stopping at five museums around Japan in 2019 and 2020.
