Functionality and issuance procedures remain the same and all previously issued passports will remain valid until the expiration date entered in them.
For those individuals who wish to have the passport in the new design, an appointment for the collection of biometric data must be made at the passport offices and the relevant Swiss representations abroad from October 31, 2022.
