
Switzerland and Brazil are historic and strategic partners with intense bilateral relations in the political, economic, scientific and sustainability fields. Switzerland has a long-standing commitment to sustainability in Brazil through extensive bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation on topics such as the bioeconomy, tropical agriculture and forest management, water governance and projects with civil society and indigenous peoples. COP30 is a unique opportunity for Switzerland to strengthen this engagement. In this context, Switzerland has created the Road to Belem program, which brings together various activities of the Swiss network in Brazil (Embassy, Consulates General and Honorary Consulates, Swissnex, Swiss Business Hub, Swiss Leading House St. Gallen, Swisscam, Swiss private sector) with the aim of promoting economic development and prosperity through the identification of sustainable, shared and innovative solutions
Swiss-Brazilian Infrastructure Forum: since 2023, the Forum has been a reference event on decarbonization, energy transition, climate change and infrastructure resilience. The second edition, in October 2024, was inaugurated by authorities from both countries and was attended by more than 350 high-level participants (institutions, regulators, companies and the financial sector).
Sustainable reconstruction of Casa Goeldi: The Sustainable Reconstruction of Casa Goeldi is a public-private collaboration between Swiss and Brazilian partners, including the renowned Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, the Government of the State of Pará, the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, and the Instituto Peabiru. This project aims to transform Casa Goeldi into a space dedicated to promoting science, preserving the Amazon, and strengthening the connection between local communities and researchers.
Exhibition “The Swiss-Brazilian Legacy in the Amazon: Art, Science and Sustainability”: Exhibition "The Swiss-Brazilian Legacy in the Amazon: Art, Science, and Sustainability": Developed with the Museu Paraense Emilio Goeldi and the Oswaldo Goeldi Cultural Artistic Association, the exhibition showcases Switzerland's commitment to the Amazon in the fields of art, science, and sustainability. The exhibition has already been in Brasília, Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Nova Friburgo, and will be in Natal in May, concluding its tour in Manaus and Belém.

5th Global Conference of the Sustainable Food Systems Program of the One Planet Network: The conference aims to explore practical solutions for the convergence of food systems, nutrition, climate, biodiversity, livelihoods, equality and other related policy agendas.
Swiss Pavilion: The Swiss Pavilion is the space where Swiss companies meet key stakeholders to demonstrate how their innovations contribute to sustainability and the fight against climate change in Belem, Brazil and the world. In doing so, we promote Swiss-Brazilian partnerships, connect researchers, government representatives and industrial partners, and generate new business opportunities for Swiss companies.
