The MIRAGE film festival will take place in Oslo from 9 to 13 October 2024. It is an international festival dedicated to the collaborative art of filmmaking and the craft of filmmaking.
The MIRAGE film festival is entirely devoted to the craft and process of filmmaking, with a particular focus on creating a centre in Oslo for the professionals behind the collaborative art of filmmaking: cinematographers, sound designers, directors and editors, so that they can meet and exchange ideas about their work.
The festival is also a social and creative meeting place where audiences can discover art inside and outside cinemas and meet the most innovative artists and filmmakers on the international scene.
The festival runs from 9 to 13 October at Vega Scene. The opening conference (on Oslo's future as an international film city) will be held at the Frogner Kino, as will the opening night of the MIRAGE festival - an evening devoted to world politics and jazz starting at 7pm.
This year, the Swiss film ‘The Landscape and the Fury’ by Nicole Vögele will be screened on Saturday 12 with a post-screening talk at 8pm, and again on Sunday 13 at 8pm.
