Swiss citizens who get into difficulties abroad, also can ask for advice and help from the Swiss representative.

The magazine for the Swiss Abroad appears six times a year and provides information about what is happening at home and the activities of Swiss associations abroad. It also answers administrative questions.

The ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives, Ms Salma Rasheed (resident in Geneva); the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Brian Neil Joseph Glover (resident in Geneva); the Republic of Peru, Mr Julio Hernán Garro Gálvez and the People's Republic of China, Mr Qian Minjian were received by President Karin Keller-Sutter at the Federal Palace on 2 July 2025 for the presentation of their credentials.
