Do I need a Schengen visa?

My nationality Obligation to hold a visa (yes/no)
Kosovo as of 01.01.2024: NO (V12)

Kosovo citizens do not need a visa.
The visa exemption only applies to holders of biometric passports, travelling for short term purposes ( family or friends visit, business, tourism, medical and other purposes, except for work).

When travelling, all visa exempted non-EU/EFTA citizens (incl. Kosovo) must meet the entry requirements and therefore have the necessary documents to prove the purpose and conditions of their stay in Switzerland and/or in the Schengen states, see for details: SEM’s FAQ, point 3.1.1

Attention: the visa is still required for all kind of work, even if the activity does not exceed 8 days within a calendar year, and for all stays longer than 90 days over a period of 180 days.
