Job Description

The Swiss Embassy in the Republic of Korea offers full-time internships with a duration of six months, with the option to extend for an additional six months upon mutual agreement.

The internship starts on 1 September 2026. An internship at the Swiss Embassy in the Republic of Korea will enable you to gain valuable insights into the workings of Swiss diplomacy in general as well as the work of this strategically important mid-size Embassy. As a member of the Political & Economic and Public Affairs Section, you will support the Mission on a broad basis and will work on selected dossiers. This will enable you to gain profound knowledge in different areas of foreign policy.

Qualifications

We expect a strong interest in current regional (East-Asian) politics and an interest in a diplomatic career. Initiative, quick apprehension and proficiency of English are indispensable. Interest in Korean language is a plus.

General Conditions

The internship is intended for applicants who are completing or have recently completed a Master’s degree (maximum one year between completion of the degree and the start of the internship).Swiss nationals with place of residence in Switzerland or foreign nationals residing and with a work permit in Switzerland for the entire period of deployment
Remuneration : KRW 3,100,000 per month.
Interns have to account for all personal expenses, including insurance, travel,and accommodation costs
