Important information on the situation in Greece

• The Swiss Embassy in Athens is closely monitoring the forest fire situation in Greece.
  
• We recommend that you regularly consult the FDFA's Travel Reports for Greece , and keep yourself informed locally and through the media, tour operators and accommodation providers.
  
• Please refer to the instructions issued by the local authorities in the event of forest fires in your area.
  
• The Greek 112 alarm center transmits alerts to smartphones located in affected areas, so please follow the instructions received through this channel.
  
• Adopt the appropriate behavior recommended by the local authorities.
  
• We encourage Swiss travelers to download the Swiss government's Travel Admin application and register their trip to Greece. This will enable our representation to contact you if necessary.
