Gobernanza y Estado de derecho
  • Seguridad Ciudadana: Apoyo a la reforma de la policía nacional y seguridad local.
  • OACNUDH: Fortalecimiento del Estado de Derecho y promoción de los DD.HH.

  • PRAWANKA: Fortalecimiento de las cadenas de valor de cacao, pesca y granos básicos.
  • DEIT Sur: Fortalecimiento de las cadenas de valor de marañón, ganadería sostenible y eco-turismo.
Cambio climático, reducción de riesgos de desastres y manejo sostenible de recursos naturales
  • Programa Nuestra Cuenca Goascorán: Gestión Comunitaria de Cuencas.
  • Programa de Gobernanza Hídrica Territorial: Gestión integral y sostenible del recurso hídrico en cuencas Choluteca-Sampile y Nacaome.

Contributions 2024 to ICRC Country Programs in protracted crises

The ICRC is the most important partner of SDC in the humanitarian field. About one third of the SDC Humanitarian Aid budget is allocated to the ICRC. The contribution of CHF 56 million to ICRC country programs reflects Switzerland’s interest to have a strong ICRC throughout the world and to contribute to alleviate the suffering of people affected by conflicts.

Regional Protection and Migration Programme

Latin America faces the second largest forced displacement crisis in the world with 7.1 million people forcibly displaced from Venezuela, Central America, the Caribbean and other continents. 6.2 million more are displaced in their own country. Persons in human mobility need protection against gender-based violence, exploitation and exclusion. In Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, Switzerland addresses causes and consequences of displacement, providing aid, striving for integration and supporting actors to protect the most vulnerable.

Social Performance Task Force (SPTF)

01.01.2022 - 31.12.2025

Savings, loans, insurance and digital finance are key enablers for low-income households to improve their livelihoods and for micro-entrepreneurs to run their businesses. The SPTF promotes client-centric and responsibly offered financial services through the application of the Universal Standards for Social and Environmental Performance Management. This will contribute to serve 60% of adults (70% women) in low-income countries not having access yet to financial services.

Public Private Development Partnership: Social Entrepreneurship Catalytic Impact Financing for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC-IMPACT)

01.11.2015 - 31.12.2027

Social entrepreneurs (SE) find innovative, effective and efficient solutions to social problems with a private sector, entrepreneurial approach. ODA funds are scarce and need to be used with leverage. This intervention will leverage social enterprises efforts, impact investors’ capital and local government funds for poverty reduction and improved livelihood of low income households.
